Easy read with profound challenge to engage

Terry Wardle writes with a very accessible style and structure. This is not academic theology on the "third member of the Trinity", this is a clear outline of what the Holy Spirit should mean to the church of today, the difference He should be making, and what we can do about it. He writes to those who come from a more conservative church (and cultural) background, those who have not seen the practices of the churches of the Book of Acts present in their own church, and for those hungry for more of God's presence in their church and in their life.
We bought copies of this book for all our elders as pre-reading for our annual retreat. We are tired of dealing with too many issues, we are not as equipped and prepared as we would like to be for the road that lies ahead. How do we embrace the promise of God to pour his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit? This book helped to point us in the right direction.
