This was very corny, and cheesy, and poorly done. It was quite obviously an attempt to recreate the success of The Truth Project. I highly recommend "The Truth Project" by Focus on the Family. But don't buy this one. It's terrible. Very cheesy, and annoying, and insincere.
This is a great series. It doesn't get overly technical, so for those looking for some heavy hitting here you might do better to get something more specific to your topic. Each session is broken into two parts which is good for church sunday schools if you want to leave time for discussion. You can get study guides also. But it does have more than enough meat for the average Christian who might not have done much research on the topics they cover. Either way, definitely recommend especially at bargain price. It's not money wasted.
The DVD portion introduces each lesson with no apologetic content. I was hoping for a lecture series with follow-up discussion in the Study Guide. Without the Unshakable Truth book of 51 chapters the DVD and Study Guide are marginally useful. I wish the description had made it clear that you need all three components, rather than leading me to believe that the DVD contained "12 Powerful Sessions on the Essentials of a Relevant Faith," as reflected in the title. The DVD has only a father-son conversational introduction to each lesson. The Study Guide, if used with the book, is well written and helpful.
