Written to young women, Farvers main points are centered on the way they get "sick," view beauty, go after guys, and develop "a heart claimed by a radical love." Farver's book touches deep points but in ways that readers can understand. The language is basic. Readers relate as she gives great examples from real-life situations. In writing this book, Farver serves as a good example of how you don't have to know all the answers about what God wants; and yet, she is able to write a book that will help other young girls find their way to Him and to help others search for His Cause in their lives. An inspirational verse Farver includes in her book is Colossians 3:1-3 (NIV), which states, "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, your life is now hidden with Christ in God." Farver is still learning, yet in the process she's also encouraging other young girls to think about what should be most important in their lives. She also addresses questions she sought answers to and that she found other girls were asking, too.
Farver's main point throughout the book is that the little causes can distract from the true Cause. We need to be able to look out for those things and recognize when we are drawing away from the Lord and no longer asking Him for help. Some of her sentences really prove her point, such as: "Loving God is your calling. This is what your life was created for." She stresses that we need to get rid of all little "c" causes and focus on His Cause. His Cause is the only one that ultimately matters and the little "c" causes only distract us from His Cause.
Farver doesn't force her opinions on readers, but merely gives suggestions and understanding about what is truly important in life. Andrea Gregory, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com

Does she live like so very many in this world, focused on guys, college and/or career, and making herself happy? Or does she make her Cause something greater?
Author Hannah Farver challenges women (really of all ages) to view their purpose in life through different "glasses" in "Uncompromising: A Heart Called by a Radical Love".
Miss Farver covers a common theme regarding purity, but also dives head-first into topics like feminism, modesty, and the possibility of turning the want for a relationship (or the relationship itself) into an idol. She calls women to seek the Kingdom of God first, asking questions of what would God want us to do vs. (for example) should I date or should I court?
I have read many books written for young women as I prayerfully try to mentor my daughter through her teen years and beyond. This book has some different insights I found worthwhile and would recommend this book for older teens and beyond.

St. Paul, MNAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A Guide For Today's Young WomenJuly 21, 2011St. Paul, MNAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Uncompromising is a book written by young college student, Hannah Farver, for teens and young women for today.
There are 'causes' that are competing every day for each young woman's heart. Hannah provides a list of 'causes' that need to take a back seat or at least an attitude adjustment to the real Cause. They sneak up very subtly, drawing young women unaware.
She's not saying all these causes are wrong. But they need to be put into the right priority and perspective. The True Cause must take precedence. A few of the causes that can sidetrack a young lady are:
The world's beauty
You need more than a guy
She goes into detail on some of the real purposes that young women need to look into:
Marriage in God's Will
And most importantly, Seeking First the Kingdom of God, THE CAUSE
This is one power-packed book of what womanhood truly means. Coming from a young college student, you know God has given her truths and wisdom beyond her years. She pulls no punches, but she does couch it with a lot of humor and wit. No questioning her loyalty to her Lord.
Every young woman and teen needs to read Hannah's book to get a better handle on God's love for them and to submit to His ways for their own joy and the joy of serving others. In fact, it would be a great book for a mother/daughter discussion time. A time to bond and learn how to be a Godly women after His own heart.
I received this book free from Moody Publishers as part of their Blogger Review Program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Virtuous Girlhood5 Stars Out Of 5A Must Read For Any Teen Girl!July 12, 2011Virtuous GirlhoodQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5To be honest, I was not expecting a whole lot from this book. I expected to read a stero-typical "self help" book for Christian teens. My expectations where not very high at all. Was I ever wrong. I started reading UNcompromising by Hannah Farver and I could not put it down. This book hit home for me.
To be honest, I have been going through a horrible time lately. I have been struggling with a number of things and I have not been trusting God and letting him take the reigns in my life. When I started reading Hannah's book, I found that she talked about every single one of the issues that I am facing. I couldn't believe it! As I read through Hannah's book, it gave me hope. It showed me that I COULD fix the mess that I have made of my life and that there is hope.
Hannah's book is such a blessing to me. This book is now all marked up with tears, my thoughts, and pages/sentences are highlighted with my pencil. :)
Every teenage girl regardless of her age should read this book. This book has been a tremendous blessing to me and I LOVE it! It is the best book that I have read this year.
