I had a 2nd grader and a 4th grader work together on the 3rd grade book. They really enjoyed it. They loved the satisfaction that would come from finishing one book and then starting on the next one. Each book, or "step" covered one topic (plants, animals, etc.) and did a really good job of including both worldview information and scientific fact, as well as a science experiment and a project. The format of each book was the same for each day, so it was predictable as the girls went through it. I loved that this book taught both sides of the argument (secular and Christian) which not only boosted their faith but also gave them answers to give for why the believe the way they do. The scientific information was accurate and interesting. I didn't necessarily need the teacher book because once we got the feel for the steps each day's work was pretty self explanatory. I'm surprised to see other negative reviews because we enjoyed this curriculum so much.
DKEANDallas, TXAge: 35-44Gender: female1 Stars Out Of 5Very DisappointedApril 1, 2013DKEANDallas, TXAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 2Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1I was so excited to get this curriculum for my 3rd grader. I dove into it with excitement due to the fact that I'm a product of public school & never received teaching on creationism. I agree with the other review that it is WAY too advanced for a 3rd grader. In order to "spiral", they cram a ton of vocabulary & subjects into 1 day's lesson. For instance, it covered all of the planets on one day's lesson. After all of that information, my daughter can't tell you any of the planet names or anything about them. It was too much information for her to process & enjoy. Also, it expects the child to research the internet & create reports with charts on a word processing program. My child who has explored everything scientifically since birth as fascinating has told me that this is now her least favorite subject. Big disappointment :-( Needless to say, this creative mommy is going to do some more research on other curriculums available.

It was way to advanced for my 8 year old. The teachers book was horrible as well. We used it once and then put it aside.
