Burnt Orange is the story of a pastor's daughter who decides she wants to be friends with the "in" crowd. She starts with one drink in order to fit in with the party crowd. This book is written for teenagers and ends in tragedy. The first part of the book seemed a little slow but the ending shows how life can get out of control if we don't stay close to God. I would recommend this book especially to high school age teens. I received this book from Clash Entertainment.

I felt a strong connection with Amber while reading this book. I felt as if I WAS Amber. I felt like I was lying to my parents, and drinking alcohol, and lying to my best friend. And when Amber barfed in some chapters, sometimes I felt like I needed to use the john as well. All in all, after I finished reading this book I felt a deeper connection with God. And I made a promise to Him that I will never take a single sip of alcohol, because now I really now how much it can hurt you.
