Following the 10-chapter "Bring the Classics to Life" Series format, this novel has been rewritten at a lower reading level, and with new core vocabulary. New teaching vocabulary is defined and used in context, and a preview illustration, dictionary definition and preview question are provided. Students complete ten multiple-choice comprehension questions. The rate of presentation for each chapter varies from 40 to 520 words per minute.

The comprehension and vocabulary scores for thirty students can be maintained within the record keeper. Each student's record is maintained using his or her name, and an individual ID number; student scores may be analyzed on the monitor and/or printed. Windows/PC based CD-ROM.
