I was excited to order this book, and even more excited when I read it. I had found it hard to explain to my husband what I wanted for our children. This book had it all in black and white. I am so glad others share my thoughts!

LOVED this book. It is heavy on the numbers, as one reviewer said, but the numbers tell the story. This opened my eyes to the necessity of a healthy children's ministry to the present and future church. Prepare to be convicted!

Barna provides here a good, concise case for top-notch children's ministry. The information really isn't new to anyone who has read and studied on the subject. The greatest strength of this title is the gathering together of spiritual, statistical and sociological information into one small volume.
This book should be on every pastor's shelf, and would be a great help to anyone teaching children or working in a children's ministry.
I recommend it highly.

This book is not what I expected. It not about how to work with children but the need to work with children.

A little to reliant on numbers but I provided a copy to everyone involved in our Sunday School program. The teachers saw their teaching in a new light of greater importance and have striven very hard to make our children's ministry more exciting and meaniful.

It read like a textbook but the info is important and necessary and needs to be acted upon by us all.

THE BEST BOOK YOU CAN READ-EVER! This book is life-altering-your eyes will never view children the same! It has great statistics and wonderful ideas to put immediately into practice! It's a must-read for ANYONE in contact with children and ABSOLUTE MUST-READ ANYONE who thinks children's ministry is for someone else!
Thanks, Barna -- Also catch Group Publishing's Transforming Children into Spiritual Champions for a great Bible Study. (No, I don't work for either of these organizations)
