I do a weekly Bible study at the county Jail every Monday night with a friend. I borrowed this book from a friend a few years ago and I have given Corrie's examples of forgiveness many times to the women I teach. This seems to be so powerful when I retell her story of forgiveness of the German officer. There is so much regret on their faces and tears almost always are present. She has made a difference yet today for many women in Jail. You won't regret reading this book. It's very humbling and makes me thankful for everything in my life good and bad.
This book is an amazing example of faith, trust and obedience. I cried on almost every page and I am a retired cop (tough guy), but Corrie's faith and God faithfulness is very inspiring.Corrie testifies of God's willingness to give divine guidance to those who are willing to obey!
After being released from a concentration camp, where she was held for hiding Jews, Corrie ten Boom traveled the world for decades sharing the message of the power and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. She started traveling when she was in her 50s and continued to do so into her 80s. She had a unique ministry that was truly amazing and still speaks today in a powerful way. You will never regret reading this book. It is life-changing.
If you have read 'The Hiding Place'this book is a must. A powerful book on Corrie's life upon being released from prision camp. God continues to work mircles for and through Corrie. A beautiful book you can't put down!
