I saw Mr. Rhodes on a Christian TV show and this book was discussed. I am taking more than 40 days to read it because I'm taking my time and reading all the scripture references (there are a lot). My only complaint with the book so far is that several of the same scriptures are used over and over. But if you skip around and don't read it straight through that would benefit you. He explains different views of Revelation in the beginning of the book and makes it clear this book is based on the futurist view. No matter what your view is on the end-times I believe you could benefit from this book and his verse-by-verse insight. The most interesting part I've come across so far is his different interpretations of the "white stone" in Rev. 2. He doesn't claim to have all the answers and tells others' views concerning different subjects. I'm also reading a set of books by Putnam re: Rome/the last Pope which is very interesting. And . . . my husband and I are in the process of watching a DVD series by Shoebat, a Muslim turned Christian, which is about the end-times and emphasizes Islam/Muslims instead of Rome/the pope, which is worth your time but very boring. All these views seem to make sense (they all are careful to make their points) but not all of them can be right, obviously. No matter what happens and when (rapture or no rapture) I know God is in control and I pray we will all be ready. He's the only One who knows for sure what will happen and when.

Revelation is the only book of The Bible that tells us it comes with a blessing for reading it. Yet, most people shy away from reading it because the imagery that it contains seems to be very difficult to understand. Reverend Rhodes presents a comprehensive study to remind us that Revelation was written to believers who were facing persecution and hostility from the ruling culture. Reverend Rhodes clearly explains how today's Christians can know that God has always been-and will always be-in control over human history. Make sense of future events and trust God in the midst of trials. And have a sense of urgency in living each day as the book of Revelation commands us to. "40 Days Through Revelation" helps to understand just what is happening in the world right now. It also aids in getting us the blessing as it gives us a real taste to sit down and read the book in its entirety. I recommend this book highly.

This is a great study book on the book of Revelation. The subtitle says Uncovering the Mystery of the End Times. There is so much information in this book that you will have to take your time reading it.
I gave this a 5/5 stars. I liked how he went through each verse and gave his interpretation of what the verse was saying. You may not agree with each explanation he has but you have to give him credit for backing up what he says. He uses ample references and very simple language to reiterate the point he is trying to make about each verse. I thought the book was easy to read and packed with information. This book would be great for a Bible study group to use or even a Sunday School class.
I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.
