Through My Eyes: A Quarterback's Journey, Young Readers Edition
I read this book twice already. Great book.
Tim Tebow is a football player for Christ. He was a farm boy, and home-schooling child with a dream. He proved that with hard work you can realize your dream. Born into a Christian family with a heart for missions, Tim was obsessed with sports. He played baseball, soccer, basketball, and almost every sport imaginable. His favorite sport was rough-tumble, full-tackle football, which he played in the fall.
Tim started off as a small, very competitive kid. Since he was the youngest, he was always trying to be just as good as his brothers. But his brothers, like many other brothers, wouldnâÂÂt let him win just to make him feel better. So to be just as good, he had to build up muscle. When he was only thirteen years old Tim did 400 push-ups and sit-ups each every day! And to gain more muscle he asked for some weights for Christmas. That was all he asked for.
As soon as he was of minimum age, he went to play football at a school, after his home-school day. From there he went onto high-school football, still continuing to home school. He was a quarterback because of his strength. He had an undefeated season at the end of high school. Because of his remarkable skills and team-leadership abilities, he received over eighty scholarship offers. Since his whole family had graduated from the University of Florida he was biased to go there. That is where the Lord led him. From there, he went on to win many awards including the Heisman award.
Next, his life took another huge turn and his dream became a reality. He would now be playing in the National Football League (NFL) for the Denver Broncos. His dream fulfilled. Tim always gives glory to God. Before the game and after the game he bows his knee in prayer, leaving the results to the Lord Jesus Christ. With all this Tim is likely one of the most remarkable players in NFL football. To learn more about Tim Tebow, check out his book at your local library. It is entitled Tim Tebow, Through My Eyes: A QuarterbackâÂÂs Journey.

A Surprising Read
Through My Eyes
Book Summary: Meet Tim Tebow: He grew up playing every sport imaginable, but football was his true passion. Even from an early age, Tim has always had the drive to be the best player and person that he could be. Through his hard work and determination, he established himself as one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of college football and as a top prospect in the NFL. Now, in Through My Eyes: A Quarterback's Journey, he shares the behind-the-scenes details of his life, on and off the football field. Tim writes about his life as he chooses to live it, revealing how his Christian faith, his family values, and his relentless will to succeed have molded him into the person and the athlete he is today.
Review: This was a great book. Well written and yet sounded as if you were having a conversation with Tim Tebow about how he came to be who he is today. His faith shines through and his work ethic is amazing! I really cannot get over how much I laughed, cried and cheered him and his family on. His family was in every detail of his book. It is amazing how his parents have influenced his life and with the good stuff like faith, family and living for the glory of God. I would proudly recommend this book to anyone. While I am not a sports fan I enjoyed his excitement he has for football and the games he has played in.
I would like to thank Net Galley and Zondervan Publishing for allowing me to read and review this book in return for a free copy and I was never asked to write a favorable review by anyone.
