Paul Spilsbury, Academic Dean of the Seminary at Ambrose University College in Calgary, Alberta, has written a very helpful book for those of us raised on the old dispensational approach. His subtitle, "A Reader's Guide To the Book of Revelation," gives the sense of the purpose of the work. Spilsbury is charitable but clear, and readable but precise. This is a great place to start for those like me, who late in life came to understand that there is more than one way to understand Revalation and the end times, etc. Another strength is that the author does not come right out and name himself in one of the camps (a-mil, post-mil, pre-mil). Instead he gets into it and lets the reader gain a sense of Revelation in its own right. Not only will the reader find "The Throne, The Lamb, & The Dragon" very accessible, the Book of Revelation will become so as well. This book can help open up John's Apocalypse to many for fresh study and application.
