ChristianBook eBooks on the Sony Reader
To read a Christianbook.com licensed eBook on your Sony device, you will need to use Adobe Digital Editions.
Without using ADE, the Sony Reader will attempt to open eBooks with its own software, the Reader Library, and you may receive an error message.
To bypass the Sony Reader Library, return to the eBook portion of 'My Account' on our site, and click to download the eBook again.
When the Adobe Digital Editions installer comes up, click on 'Download Item.'
If you are downloading a DRM Protected eBook, you will be prompted to open or save the URLLINK.acsm. Click 'Save'.
Save the file to your Desktop for quick access later.
Right-click on the URLLINK file, then select 'Open With' and choose Adobe Digital Editions.
If Adobe Digital Editions is not in the list, click 'Choose Default Program' and then select Adobe Digital Editions from the list.
Your eBook will open and display in ADE.
Plug in your Sony Reader, which will now display its model number and not just as Sony Reader.
Now just click, drag and drop your eBook onto the Sony Reader icon.
You can now eject your Sony Reader, open up the Books library and your eBook is ready to read.

Rachelle Macquinet, couturiere from one of France's most celebrated silk-making families, is under palace arrest at Saint Germain-en-Laye. While Rachelle creates a royal gown, she is ensnared in the Queen Mother's plot against the Huguenots and must use her wits to preserve her own life.
Fabien has returned from a venture against Spain to claim Rachelle as his bride, but not without a price: the Queen Mother plans to implicate him in an assassination!

The story escalates as Fabien and Rachelle determine to abandon their native France and escape into the refuge of England. Reliance on God is stressed throughout the journey of the two lovers. However, there never seems to be a great climax in the novel. There is great potential as the story winds along adventurous plots and romantic endeavors, but the ending seems to lead only as an entry-point toward a fourth novel. Anyone coming in now, at novel three, will have a lot of catching up to do and will leave this book feeling up in the air as to the outcome of the central characters and the culmination of the main plot.
But for the devoted fan of this series, this book is successful in continuing this ambitious story. The characters are dynamic and force the reader to keep turning the pages, even if some of the action moves a little slowly. I am looking forward to the fourth and last installment of this series, and recommend this as a great story for anyone who wishes for a story of faith and adventure. -- Heather Schultz, ChristianBookPreviews.com
