The Trinity teaches the doctrine that there is one God who exists in three persons--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This teaching is foundational for a child's understanding of God; and helps children relate rightly to each member of the godhead. A fact about the Trinity is presented on each page, leading the child to a stronger faith. Recommended for ages 4 to 7.

JaneAge: 25-34Gender: Female3 Stars Out Of 5wanted more Trinity visuals/explanations without other conceptsSeptember 19, 2016JaneAge: 25-34Gender: FemaleQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 2The explanations are simple, but clear enough that I don't think they'll be confusing. The reason for the low rating is because I really was hoping for something more directly focused on just explaining the concept of the Trinity a little more thoroughly with more relevant illustrations.
The book explains various attributes of God, and walks the reader through the path of salvation, which is all great - but those are all things that can be broken down into their own lesson instead of cramming everything into just one book. I feel like the 3 in 1 concept was glossed over to make room for additional explanations that could have been devoted to their own, separate book.
The illustrations are of a little girl, as she tells you about God. It would have been nice if they had a little more variety, and attempted to visually demonstrate the trinity's 3 in 1 aspect, more than just her holding up 3 fingers. I've seen clever visual examples other places, I was just hoping to find something in book form - preferably something that could be read to a class, and have illustrations that can help illustrate your point.
This book isn't bad, but it could have been a lot better. I won't be ordering the rest of the series.

This series helps me to sit down with my kids read to them and expose them to great aspects of the gospel. As they grow older, the verses on the bottom of the pages will provide further areas to dive into the Word! Great set of books!

Kristi5 Stars Out Of 5April 22, 2009KristiThe Trinity is the book that originally caught my attention about this series. An explanation of the Trinity for a 4 year old? This I had to see. Our little guide in this book is appropriately named Angel (a little corny, but that's ok). :) God's holiness, self-sufficiency, omnipresence, omniscience, knowledge of each individual, authority as Creator, and uniqueness are again covered in easy to grasp language. Then Angel explains that there is one God in three persons who are all distinct but all one God - I love that the next page says that we can't completely understand it because God is unlike anything in this world! This truth is applied personally in that the persons of God live in community, and we were created for community, too. The basics of salvation are then covered in this book, as well, explaining the roles of the Father, Son, and Spirit in our salvation.I love that these books have simple, colorful illustrations on each page that capture the essence of what is being talked about without trying to depict God in any way. Excellent. Each page also has Scripture references at the bottom that parents can use with their kids for further discussion and study!
