I was given a copy of Things I Wish I'd Known Before We Got Married by my pastor . I bought a copy for my daughter and an extra in case I find someone I want to connect with . So I would I really thing it is a great book.
This book is so wonderful! I've purchased more copies of it than I can keep track of! I give it away to newly weds, pre-weds, and those who are on the brink of divorce, even after they have divorced. It's brilliant!!!!
I loved the book so much, I read it twice (about to read it again), and bought it for a friend of mine. It was a great guide in helping me decide to end a relationship that was becoming scary and leading violent. This book, and first of all, The Lord, helped me break free before it was too late. Thank you.
We just started using this book as part of our premarital counseling materials. It offers practical advise on areas one might not typically think of for premarital counseling.
For example: are you a morning person or a night owl?; what about your future spouse? Are you more of a talker or listener? Do you give a lot of detail in your answers or just the facts? Do you do things at the drop of a hat or do you need time to plan/process?
All these seemingly little things and potential differences are really important to know! Fun and easy to read.
