Living by faith is a frightening idea for many people. It certainly was to Peter Jordan, who had a good job, a beutiful home, two newer cars, a growing family, and a respectable position in his church. Entering missions was the last thing he thought he'd ever do, but God called him and his family out of the ordinary and into an uncertain, but ultimately fulfilling, life of trust and obedience.
Peter Jordan, along with his wife, Donna, and their children, moved from Canada to the Pacific and Asia for twelve years, helping to pioneer the Youth With A Mission (YWAM) base in Kona, Hawaii. They served in leadership and directed Discipleship Training Schools in both Kona and Singapore. Peter served as assistant to YWAM's founder, Loren Cunningham, for nine years. In 1988 the Jordans started YWAM Associates International, a ministry of encouragement to the hundreds of thousands of missionaries who have served with YWAM.
