Publisher's Description

It's an unfortunate reality that many men grow up in churches that suppress their God-given sexual urges. As a result, many Christian men, single and married, are frustrated with their love lives and their sex lives. The authors of this book claim that Christian men should be the greatest lovers in the world and then work to show men how to do it. They help men:

-learn what the Bible says about a healthy sex life -discover how to relate to women as men instead of as boys
-address psychological and spiritual issues that interfere with healthy sexuality
-learn specific techniques that create a strong relationship, great foreplay, and passionate sex

Solidly based in Scripture and informed by the experiences of the authors, all respected sex therapists, What Wives Wish Their Husbands Knew about Sex dispels the myths that keep good Christian men from experiencing sex as God meant it to be. Perfect for any man, it is also a great book for counselors and pastors who work with men.

At first, it seems a little off-kilter that three men would co-author a book called What Wives Wish Their Husbands Knew About Sex. However, once into this book by Dr. Ryan Howes, Dr. Stephen Simpson, and Richard Rupp, you discover that the authors have conducted extensive interviews and amassed large amounts of research with respect to what a Christian marriage should provide for both spouses. This book is the result, making men aware of areas in sexual matters where they are poorly educated, misinformed, or just totally clueless.
The book has three goals. First, starting from ground zero, it explains to men what God's plan is for sexual satisfaction. Quoting and interpreting Scripture leads to very, very frank discussions about everything from sexual positions to specific functions of various body parts during sex. Often, since the authors are men speaking to men, the jargon drops into locker room phrases and street talk that is blunt, realistic, and very much in your face. This is not material that is off-color or crude, but it also is not a book for youngsters to find lying around the house.
The second goal is to bring scientific research into this talk. The authors explain reasons for sexual dysfunction, erotic fantasies, emotional shame about sex, and carryover sex myths handed down on the school yard. The material is current, revealing, and informative. The third and final goal is for the authors to talk about their own strengths and weaknesses as husbands and lovers. By sharing honestly as "guys" rather than as therapists, they appeal as friends, helpers, and mentors for the readers, not lecturers.
There are a lot of sex manuals on the market these days. Some are too psychological to make sense; others are too secular to reflect God's intentions for married couples. This book is written by credible therapists with years of experience, and is biblically sound and presented in an open and honest, easy-to-understand style of writing. Married men of all ages can pick up knowledge here, and engaged men can get a proper start to a godly marriage. – Dr. Dennis E. Hensley, Christian Book Previews.com

This book goes deep down into the root of issues between men and women. The author lets us know how women think, different things to try. Having sex is more than than the actual act, you plan it, build it up, look forward to it. Sex has been perverted by the world, this book helps bring the true love God intended for us to have in our marriage through sex.

This is an excellent book that talks about sex in a way that real Christian couples will understand it. It provides a real practical application to loving your wife, including in the bedroom, in a very easy to understand way. And yes, have your wife read the entire book as well.
