    Tell us a little about yourself.  I grew up in a small town of 5,000, #3 in a family of six children. I got my first Bible at a Sunday school promotion into fourth grade--a black leather King James version that was hard to read and understand. (If I'd had a beginner's Bible like the Young Reader's Bible, I'd have stayed up late with a flashlight!) When I'm not writing books or photographing the beautiful Pacific Northwest (see my gallery at http://www.bonniebruno.com), I enjoy camping, fishing, gardening, and spoiling my granddaughters.

    What was your motivation behind this project?  I wanted to share God's love in a format that young children could grasp. Bible stories don't have to be dry or anchored by language that's hard to understand. The Young Reader's Bible brings these timeworn stories to life in a way that helps beginning readers feel like they're right there, experiencing the scene.

    What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I love the thought of children using this Bible storybook as a beginning reader. It's intended to stir up a hunger for reading, but especially for learning about God's personal love for them.

    Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  I enjoy the work of Max Lucado (his work for children is equally as inspiring as his books for adults), and others who work hard to bring the truth of the Bible to life in a way that all ages can grasp.
