Louise M Hutchinson5 Stars Out Of 5June 5, 2009Louise M HutchinsonThe Wounded Healer, by Henri Nouwen, was first introduced to me during my Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)16 years ago. Since then, I have probably given 150 copies to professional and lay people, including my own physician. The Wounded Healer is at the top of my list of books to pass on to someone who ministers to the "wounded soul" or has been "wounded" themselves.

WillBee5 Stars Out Of 5NOT just for ministersSeptember 23, 2016WillBeeQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Do not let the fact that Nouwen was a Catholic priest set you off (if you are not Catholic), and do not let the write-up that this is for those in ministry set you off (if you are not in professional ministry). This is a great little book for anyone who wants to be authentic in representing Christ as a Christian. We are all wounded, and through Christ we can all participate in the process of helping others be spiritually healed through Christ. (no, this is not about physical healing)

BeakerSpring Arbor, MIAge: 18-24Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A great read for those in leadershipMay 24, 2012BeakerSpring Arbor, MIAge: 18-24Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I bought this book for some college students who hold a position of spiritual leadership on campus. It was a great encouragement to many of them as they were striving to lead fellow students despite the hurt and pain they have experienced themselves. I would highly recommend this to anyone who desires for the Lord to use their past circumstances to minister to other people!
