Michaux Horne5 Stars Out Of 5September 15, 2010Michaux HorneI homeschool my two children, ages 11 & 9, and we read all the time! I was looking for a Christian book series that we could read on our study breaks,. This series is terrific Christian fantasy; always leaves them begging for another chapter. We started with Book One and because we were hooked, I ordered Books Two and Three from Christianbook.com when I was placing an order for school books.
Bj Powers5 Stars Out Of 5November 22, 2008Bj PowersHaving recently acquired Book 1 from a high school fund raiser with Jerry Jenkins as key note speaker, I have not been able to put these books down. Books 1, 2, 3 and 4 were read within 3-4 days. My 15 year old nephew is now reading the series and he says, "although we don't know what, where, when and how God is going to do things, the reality of some of the fiction makes one really think about what might be around you and how we are to stay in step with our King". Excellent series. Highly recommend.
Sheila Ashburn5 Stars Out Of 5October 21, 2008Sheila AshburnWe home school our daughter and had picked up the first in this series last year to read as a literature assignment. I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to find the entire series available through CBD! We purchased the other four to read this year! These books are not only a terrific read for youth and adults, but also serve as a perfect "fantasy" reading requirement
A Hamilton4 Stars Out Of 5August 22, 2008A HamiltonI read this in order to check on what my son was reading. It was recommended Summer Reading by Focus on the Family. This series is very much a page-turner, and has a lot of Biblical parallels. The hero is very likable and the evil is clearly portrayed as such. I couldn't put it down, the story gripped me so much. Lots of plot twists and surprises, (though grownups might be able to see through some of them). Book # 2 kind of leaves you hanging, need to read with 1 and 3; some battle descriptions, but nothing too gory. Highly recommended for ages 9-14 or so. Younger kids might get scared of some of the characters.
Meaghan5 Stars Out Of 5August 12, 2008MeaghanI've never met a book I didn't like, but when I first read this series all other books paled in comparison. These are my favorite books ever and I have a feeling always will be!!!! Nothing I read can even come close to what I felt when reading this series. I garantee that anyone who picks up this book will not be disappointed. I'd give it six stars if I could!
