It was during the tumultuous era of World War II that Leslie Weatherhead preached five sermons on understanding the will of God for the congregation at City Temple in London. These sermons became the classic book The Will of God, which has helped hundreds of thousands of Christians explore how God's will is related to God's character and ultimate intentions for us.
A six-week workbook study is also available that uses three case studies to illustrate the questions that arise in understanding the book

This book is best for a mature Christian, I think a baby in Christ might not grasp or understand what the author is trying to say. The book was good.

Maurice Back5 Stars Out Of 5September 17, 2009Maurice BackThis is the clearest explanation of the will of God I have encountered. Dr. Weaterhead wrote this in 1944, when the German rockets were raining on London and the people spend the nights in the Tubes, the underground railway tunnels. It brings peace to my heart as I can know how God's will works. I first read this book some 30 years ago and I still buy some more to share its wisdom for others.
Kathryn Phillips5 Stars Out Of 5September 2, 2009Kathryn PhillipsI first read this book about 1960. I have given it as a gift to several people. It is a classic. I believe every reader would enjoy it. It is particularly helpful for people who have been taught in a manner that has used God for a "whipping boy". Dr. Weatherhead stresses the truth that "God is love".
