Great book for learning how to understand youngsters and spouses alike. I even learned some about my own tendancies and how to overcome them when necessary to get along with others at work.

This book was an eye opener. I realize that everybody is different but it really helped me relate better to my children and husband. She goes through 5 different ways to categorize personalities. She doesn't make excuses for personalities and she tells you that each personality has a little of the others mixed in. What I really found helpful was the checklists explaining briefly what annoys, what helps, and what to say to help each type of personality. I literally laughed out loud when she described something that annoys an analytical mind (my husband) but works for a global (me)! Good examples dispersed throughout!

very helpful to understand my children's learning style. A bonus is that I discovered how I learn as well. This book has helped me pick my children's cirriculum for our first year of homeschooling.

This was so helpful and insightful. Not just for our children, but for my husband and me, too! Just seeing how we view things differently helps in how we communicate. This is also helping me as I try to "decipher" how our children learn (we are a homeschooling family). It has already given me some ideas on how to approach teaching each of the children in slightly different ways.

This is a wonderful book for parents of children struggling to get a grip on school work! If you understand the differences between your own learning style and your children's, you will begin to understand there is more than one way to get anything done.
