CherNW OhioAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A story to remember, a story to love.December 27, 2013CherNW OhioAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I really, really loved this book. Not just the story but the style in which it was written. I have a read a number of Lauraine's books in the past and even though it is not a new book I would recommend that everyone should read this book.
I also love the chapter's that are written from the viewpoint of the mountain. It really makes you think about what God might have been thinking when he created the earth.
I also liked the way each chapter focused on one person at a time starting at the first chapter. A little background about each person to start with, building the story a little at a time.
The information on the Mt. St. Helens eruption is so interesting. I thought I knew a lot about the happenings but this was so detailed I really enjoyed reading about it.
The three women in the story are in different places in their faith and the way their characters are developed extremely well. It was so enjoyable to read about their growth in faith and with each other.
Darlene5 Stars Out Of 5October 31, 2007DarleneThis is a novel of tragedy faced by ladies who lose loved ones in the eruption if Mount St Helens. The sorrows of the loses of each women and how they dealt with them. There is even little paragraphs about how the Lady feels about what is going on. This is a novel about life and how it goes on after a tragedy of this nature. Ms Snelling leaves us feeling what these people are going through while they are waiting for the return of their loved ones. A GREAT READ.
Barbara5 Stars Out Of 5August 28, 2007BarbaraHaving lived in the area at the time of Mt. St. Helen's eruption, I found this book to give a very compelling insight into the lives of those affected directly by the whole ordeal. It was easy to not put faces on those who were lost and their loved ones, but this book make it up front and personal.
Julie5 Stars Out Of 5February 7, 2005JulieThis is an excellent book. Besides a few errors regarding the area, this book is an excellent read. I couldn't put it down! Read it in one weekend.
