Imposter was good, but it left me hanging wondering what was next. The Wager is good also but Randy Travis' acting leaves something to be desired....

Both films make commentary on living in the public eye as a believer and show the difficulty of such work. Not as entertaining as they are instructive and revealing of the entertainment industry. Many of the actors know this 1st hand. The Wager: I found interesting for several reasons. John Hagee plays himself in a cameo tv preaching role. I like Randy Travis. There is a clear view of the testing of a Christian actor's faith and values, with several subplots going on at the same time. Good mix of film sets, in with the action of the story, shows a little bit of the industry at work level. Good surprize ending. Mix of reality and story telling. But good film... 'The Imposter' shows a supposedly Christian singer having a life meltdown because of his hypocricy. Good performances by Max, Deyo, and Livgren (former lead man for Kansas who came to Christ after his success). Good music (if you believe in Christian pop/rock) and shows the contrast between such worship leaders who do and don't keep a good standard. Livgren's role gives a school on how to make healthy boundaries with someone you love who is selfish and/or addicted to something. Not for everyone, but great movie if you're in that place or know someone who is. Great supporting role in the homeless man who shows Max some of his own hypocritical ways. Both films would be PG for some violence in The Wager and adult life situations in both; drug use and adultery in The Imposter. Worth the double feature price of $12.99. Pureflix deserves our prayers for their work and collaborations. : )

These two movies were disappointing, I have seen Randy Travis in other movies and Candace Cameron Bure and I was highly disappointed by their acting, or was it the script I don't know, but I would not recommend this to anyone.
