RubyAge: 35-44Gender: female3 Stars Out Of 5Too much for my upper elem/early mid school kidsDecember 20, 2013RubyAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 3Meets Expectations: 2The planners are of great quality, and this is really the first year that my kids have used planners, so a large part of their failure to take to the planners is probably due to that. They complain about having to fill in the dates and that the planners are too large for them to carry easily. I have them fill in events, but they do not refer to their planners at all afterwards and ask me about events instead. I refer them back to their planners, which they do grudgingly. While I'm training them to use planners, I think I will use cheap weekly planners with pre-filled dates so that I don't feel like I'm investing so much financially.

There are several pages for the student to add information about themselves and their own interests, thereby making the planner fun and personalized. It has both monthly and weekly calendars and lots of room for writing assignments and events. At the end there are numerous extras such as maps of the world and of the USA, multiplication tables, measures, and more. We have used the listing of states and their capitols as a fun learning tool. We are using this for 7th grade in a public school.

LilyUSAAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Excellent Tool For Your StudentsSeptember 20, 2012LilyUSAAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I got myself The Ultimate Homeschool Planner to help me stay organized this year, and so I decided to get this student planner for my daughter. It's great. We start our Monday mornings getting our planners out and taking a quick look at our coming week. Then my daughter writes in her planner all the things she will need to do independently on each day of that week. For example: Math lesson 5, Spelling page 6, English wb pp. 11-13, D.E.A.R (Drop Everything And Read - independent reading time), etc. Some things we do together, like history and science, and sometimes there are things I need to teach her. But with the things she can do on her own, this helps keep her and I organized, and I can get a few things done around the house while she does her independent work without having to keep asking me to come show her what she has to do next. She also likes the feeling of being able to see what she has to do each day, yet she can pick what order she wants to do it in, and cross each item off as she completes it. The planner also has pages for students to write goals, things about themselves, and has some Bible quotes and trivia questions.
