The tapes were given to me by a very close sister in Christ. I have never been the same since. It taught me how to cover myself with the armour of God and stand firm .... Yes we will heve troubles ... but God is our very present help IN TIME of Trouble. People tried to cause harm but as we are all aware no weapon against us will prosper. Is 54 V 17..... and all things will work for Good to those who love the lord and are called according to his purpose Romans 8 28.. This teaching of Bishop TD Jakes caused me to become more strong and become conscious of a force higher than the giants i faced , or the troubles that came.. Our god is powerful and mighty .. what he has done B4 .. he can do again and again ... again . All we need to do is trust , have faith and stand firm in his word ! God bless you all Jennifer

I am reading this book and it is really helpful. It helps me put things in perspective in the meantime until i get that new job I have been praying for. I work in the most horrible and selfish place and this book helps lift my spirits. To everyone whose job seems a nightmare you should get this book and work on getting out. You could be miserable in that place or be spiritually positive while working on getting out. Don't give up brothers and sisters!

Jakes is a man on fire for the Lord! He is gifted in his speech and in his writings! He uses David from the OT to illustate his teachings about working in a hostile environment and how to overcome your conditions. Contents are as follows: Preface; David as our work model, 1. Your are annointed for the job or position you hold now!, 2. Don't expect to be appreciated, 3. Seeking opportunities for change, 4.Doing the job well while remembering the vision, 5. Don't let the environment get inside of you, 6. Increase your capacities to work with difficult personalities, 7. Where you are is not where you are going!, 8. Optimal results with minimal confusion, 9. Do not pledge allegiance to cliques and groups! and 10. Always keep your song near you. This will empower you to work well in a difficult environment. To always show the light of the Lord in you by setting the christian example of doing your best on your job as serving the Lord himself not to minister on your job but by being a professional at what you do.
