Thrilled with the unabridged version. I have looked for several years for an unabridged version of the book, and was thrilled with the quality. Would live to have a hardback version for my collection. November 16, 2010

We home school our 4 boys (grades 5,4,3,1). We studied from this book for the past several months. I read the chapter aloud (as the vocabulary can be challenging), our boys narrated, wrote a daily book report about the chapter. We used this book for our vocabulary, spelling, and arts and crafts. We LOVED this story. It was filled with adventure and godly family principals. It was a great story for us to base our studies out of. I would highly recommend it to others. August 17, 2010

My son who hates to read has really enjoyed this book. We read it together which I think helps. The study guide that we got to use with it suggests that you read the book in about a week. I tried to start that, but it was way too much reading. We would have to read 6 chapters a day. It's taking us a couple of weeks to read it and we seem to comprehend it better. I definitely recommend this book. my son is 11 October 12, 2009
