Product Description

We've lost our way. The family is disintegrating, the church perceived as irrelevant and our personal faith reduced to denominational conformance. Meanwhile, atheism, Islam and New Age religions are on the rise. We need more than inspiration, we need another reformation and you need to be part of it.

What is true Christianity? What is the church meant to be like? How is the Christian family supposed to function? How can we make a difference which will yield lasting fruit? It is time to discard the mountains of man's traditions and seek answers from God Himself. After all, man's methods and wisdom, apart from God, have proven a failure throughout history. Find out the key to personal, family, church and national revival from the one who wrote The Book. If you care about your personal relationship with God, the multigenerational faithfulness of your family and the relevance of your church in an increasingly hostile world, this book is essential reading.

Publisher's Description

In a day of rife apostasy, many seek answers to why the family and the church are disintegrating. Some look to psychology, others to philosophy and some to history. This book looks at personal, family and church revival in light of the sufficiency of Scripture, a doctrine for which many were once martyred, but that has largely been abandoned by the church today. This book is a summary of the doctrines that are plainly revealed in God's Word which have been obscured or deeply entombed under the rubble of man's traditions and pragmatism. Many of today's Christians are almost scripturally illiterate-instead of thorough study to know God's heart, we read passages to support our own agenda. But when we really search diligently, setting aside man's opinions, and delve into what God actually says, we find that God has provided comprehensive wisdom for how to build our family, raise our children and run the church.Revival starts with you Reformation must continue If you care about your personal sanctification, your family's faithfulness and your church's effectiveness and relevance, this book is essential reading.

If followed, this book will bring revival to you, your family and your church. Very convicting as God seeks obedience, rather than sacrifice. We received this book as a gift and ordered 10 more to pass out to friends. Will be ordering more in the near future.

Joseph Stephen, in his book The Sufficiency of Scripture, points to the Bible and calls us to examine in its light, the culture around us. Raising many issues and controversies, this book will challenge and bless as you examine what the Bible has to say about the issues of our day. God be praised for such a forthright and honest book in this day of apostasy and compromise!

In wanting so much to hear from God, have we neglected His word? As people who want to follow Christ we are often directed in this world, and even in church circles, by the opinions and interpretations of others. The Sufficiency of Scripture is a call to return to the word of God for the ultimate truth as to God's purpose. Many desire revival for the church and we often look to our own selves as to how we can have an impact for God. In outlining God's pattern for revival, the author has conveniently addressed the topic simply (although in detail) at three levels - Personal Revival, Revival in the Home, & Revival in the Church. The section on headship was particularly helpful for me.
