Major Trevor Dumfries is on his way home from Afghanistan, seriously injured and wondering what he will do with his life now. Trevor has never wanted to do anything but fight for his country. But as he arrives in North Carolina, Trevor knows he has a lot of wounds to heal—and not just his own.
A combat retrieval mission has left Trevor with both physical and deep emotional scars. Every part of him needs God’s healing touch. As Trevor steps out of his car at a church picnic, he hopes God is still in the miracle business. But when Claire Carlisle sees him, she cannot believe her eyes—or her heart. Before Trevor left for Afghanistan, he severed their engagement and their relationship. Now she wonders if she can forgive him. A strong Christian, Claire relies on her faith to guide her as Trevor captures her heart once again. But just as they realize their love is just as strong as before, a tragedy strikes, testing Claire and Trevor’s faith like never before.
In this inspirational, romantic tale, a young couple must learn to rely on God’s love—and each other—as they embark on an unforgettable spiritual journey to forgiveness, acceptance, and most importantly, hope.
