I give this book five stars because it serves my purpose well. I am presently using it as an adjunct to the instruction of adults who have expressed a desire to learn more about the Catholic faith. By no means should one expect a complete treatment of the religion by so brief a volume, but as a supplement to Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church it works very well. The price is also well within the range that allows a parish to purchase in quantity for its adult faith education program participants or RCIA candidates. It is NOT a book to be used without access to a teacher or mentor nor do I believe that it was intended to be such by its author. It is, nevertheless, a handy, short compendium of information about the faith for quick reference.
