The Rose of Winslow Street, eBook
Elizabeth Camden Does It Again!
Another wonderful story from Elizabeth Camden! She is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.
Michael Dobrescu brought his family from Romania to the United States to start a new life in the house his uncle left to him in his will. A house now lived in by Professor Sawyer his daughter Libby. Both men claim ownership.
Libby finds herself attracted to the handsome Romanian in spite of the animosity between him and her father. And his two young sons capture her heart from the start. But love is out of the question for Libby Sawyer, even with a foreigner who doesn't know her shameful secret.
Love the characters in this story. I was drawn to them immediately and had to keep the pages turning to see what would happen next. I highly recommend this one!

While Professor Sawyer and his daughter Libby are away on vacation, a group of Romanian Immigrants move into their home with a claim that the house is theirs. Michael Dobrescu has written proof that the house on Winslow Street belongs to his family, and he will do anything to make sure that his family has a place to live. As the legal fight between the two families grinds on Libby finds herself inexplicably drawn to the head of the household, Michael Dobrescu, despite her father verbal disapproval that she not associate with any of the âÂÂgypsiesâÂÂ, as he calls them.
I liked Libby and Michael as a couple. They complimented each other very well. I loved it when LibbyâÂÂs reading disability was brought up in discussion between the two and Michael just accepted it as part of who she was and it was never brought up again between the two. MichaelâÂÂs perfume making abilities was a nice touch and I really enjoyed learning about the process.
Mirela was the character that stood out the most for me. When we first meet her she is a lost, broken girl that depends on others for her very survival, but throughout the book we see her grow into a strong, competent young woman, who with GodâÂÂs help, takes back her life and is determined to make the most of it. I related to this character the most because as a human being, I am lost and broken time and time again, yet God picks me up, brushes me off and sets me back on my path. I could really relate.
This was a delightful book to read. The author has characters that were realistic and enjoyable and it had a plot that I have not read before. I am looking forward to reading other books by this author.

Libby loves her home and her family. Because of her "secret" she thinks she can never marry and have a family. Her father is partial to her brother and easily puts Libby down.
No matter how she is hurting she always think of others.
