From being a priest in the kingdom of darkness to an evangelist in the
kingdom of lightthis true story will shock and amaze you!
Jesus Christ appeared to Joshua Blahyi as a blinding light and told him that he would die unless he repented of his sins.
Joshua Blahyi grew up in Africa, became a powerful pagan priest in a local tribe, and then became one of the most feared warlords in Liberia. Under demonic influence, General Butt Naked fought and killed while he was naked; he personally sacrificed men, women, and babies, and forced children to abandon their families and fight with him.
Then, in a radical transformation like that of Paul on the road to Damascus, Joshua met Jesus face to face. His mission now is to reach out to others who are under evils delusions and reform the lives of his former soldiers, enemies of Jesus Christ, and anyone in need of hope and love.
Joshua Blahyis incredible story has been told in documentaries on PBS, CNN, BBC, and other media including the New York Times. His story appeals to everyone interested in foreign affairs, Africas mysterious spiritual culture, civil wars, Christianity, and child soldiers.

This book provides much fodder to support the notion that evil or demonic powers influence political outcomes that could be altered or even stopped by the prayers and obedience of believers. I have not fully grasped what the writer is saying about demonic influences in this book. I have found this book to be one of those books that I need to read multiple times before I grasp the interaction between prayer and demonic activity in the home, the city, nation and the world.

As a child Joshua was trained to become a priest among his people; a people under the power and rule of Nyagheaweh, who was dominated by the devil and his demonic cohorts.
Within a short time Joshua Blahyi became the youngest and one of the most powerful warlords in Liberia. Empowered and motivated by demonic forces, he became feared for his reputation of terror, as he sacrificed men, women, and babies, and recruited children to fight with him.
In a blinding light, similar to Saul/Paul on the road to Damascus, Jesus appeared to Joshua, with a message of repentance. Joshua changed his allegiance from demonic darkness to the light of Christ; received forgiveness, regeneration, and restoration. He is now a testimony of the Light of Jesus Christ reaching out with the message of hope and love, redemption and renewal.
Joshua story is remarkable, a powerful testimony of the grace and power of God to change a life, overcome bondage to Satan, and use him to bring the message of Christ's forgiveness and redemptive power to those "lost" in the darkness of evil in Liberia, Africa.
"The Redemption of An African Warlord: The Joshua Blahyi Story" will be of interest to everyone who has followed the troubled affairs of Africa, political, historical, and cultural. It will be of special interest to Christians with a prayer concern and World View of the expanding the Kingdom of God.
