The Reason:William Sirls has written an amazing and powerful debut book about faith, forgiveness, life struggles, heartaches, hope, redemption and miracles. Wonderful characters so well written that you are drawn to each one. It captured me right away and I did not want to put it down. A story that many can relate to.
A huge cross at a small town church in Michigan is struck by lightening and virtually destroyed. James Lindy the blind pastor of the church, his wife Shirley, their special needs son Charlie, Brooke and her son Alex, who the Lindy's have taken into their home, all wonder if and how the cross might be repaired. Dr. Macey Lewis, Dr Zach Norman, Nurse Kaitlyn Harby, and Carla, Brooke's best friend, all want to help when they learn about the cross. Can the cross be repaired? A mysterious carpenter, Kenneth, working on a construction site at the hospital is also helping and a miracle occurs. How does Kenneth affect the lives of these people?. Who is Kenneth and how does he know so much about their lives? He tells them to Only Believe.
The theme of the book is Only Believe. An inspiring story that had me in tears at the ending.
The author found Christ while in jail and you can see that through this book his faith in God is strong. A great book and I highly recommend it. There is so much more I could say about this book but don't want to spoil it for you.
Reading his second book The Sinner's Garden and will post that review soon.
I received this book from bookfun.org for my honest opinion and review.
