Product Description

When Grace Westcott is kidnapped by a French mercenary, tossed aboard his ship, and told she will be sold to a Spanish Don in Columbia, she cannot imagine what she has done to deserve such a horrid fate. She has spent her entire life serving God and helping the poor, not to mention trying to save the souls of her two wayward sisters. Thinking perhaps God has sent her to preach to the vile captain and his crew, Grace's every attempt to correct their sinful ways is rewarded with only mockery. When Grace's situation grows far worse than she could imagine, she is forced to face her own human weaknesses. But she isn't prepared to face her biggest weakness of all-falling in love with the nefarious captain, Rafe Dubois.

Editorial Reviews

M.L. Tyndall delivers yet again. This third book in the Charles Towne Belles series does not disappoint. Every page adds something new and unexpected, holding the reader captive until no page is left to turn. Packed with pathos, adventure, humor, and an intricately woven spiritual message, it fully satisfies, yet leaves one longing for more. Don’t miss The Raven Saint.

Wow! What a swashbuckling adventure of a read. The Raven Saint is a powerful conclusion to The Charles Towne Belle Series by author MaryLu Tyndall—and it’s my personal favorite. Tyndall nails the rogue hero persona in the character of Rafe Dubois. What’s not to love in a man who wears a white buccaneer shirt and jackboots? Oh, yes…Captain Dubois is all that and so much more. This jaw-dropping hunk of a captain is not only unpredictable but clever and courageous as well. He’s a bad boy champion who steals the heroine’s heart along with the reader’s. But besides the spicy attraction between the captain and his captive, there are many spiritual aspects that author Tyndall conveys throughout the story. She shows how holier-than-thou judgmental attitudes hurt everyone involved. That revenge does not end with the feeling of satisfaction. And that spiritual warfare, though not visible to the human eye, is a very real battle going on around us. Do yourself a favor and set sail on the Caribbean this winter by picking up a copy of The Raven Saint. It’s way cheaper than a vacation but will take you away just the same.

No one writes adventurous seafaring romances quite like Tyndall. In book three of the Charles Towne Belles series, fans might find the plot familiar but they''ll still enjoy the romance, intrigue and adventure.

The Raven Saint is a fabulous book! The Raven Saint is a swashbuckling story that will keep you glued to your chair. M.L. Tyndall doesn’t whitewash things, but tackles issues like slavery, revenge, and forgiving past hurts. The faith message is deftly woven in to every fiber of the story and will inspire readers.

MaryLu Tyndall''s Charles Towne Belles is beautifully orchestrated! The Raven Saint is third in this highly popular series. If you are a fan of historical romance, then you definitely want to put the name MaryLu Tyndall high atop your to buy list. This author writes with a passionate flare that captures the true essence of romance.

Book three in the Charles Towne Belles series. Each novel deals with a different sister and her adventures that lead to romance and grace. The Raven Saint is about a young lady who has lived her life serving God. When she gets kidnapped, she is faced with questions and fears that she never faced before in her life. This novel has all of the wonderful traits that the first two novels had. The only bad thing is that there are only three novels, when another sister has been mentioned on occasion. I would love to hear her story as well. If you haven't read MaryLu Tyndall's other novels, you need to check them out. She never disappoints. She follows God's lead in each and every novel.

REVIEW FOR ALL 3 BOOKS IN Charles Towne Belles Series

THE RED SIREN book#1 Charles Towne Belles Series

    M.L. Tyndall

o:**:. AVAST YE LANDLUBBERS, FAITH FILLED ADVENTURES AWAIT.:**: o

I loved this entire series and read all 3 over a 6 day period in honor of Natl. Talk Like a Pirate Day (-smile). There are exciting adventures upon the high seas in the early 1700s, miraculous deeds, as well as evil presence (things many Christian authors do not bother to address).

    Some of the exciting characters:

Dajon (hard name I disliked I chose to say Dayon in my head), soft spoken, good morals, seeking to climb the ladders of success in the British Navy. Unexpectedly assigned to watch over 3 grown sisters, while their admiral father is called away on a 6-month assignment.

Bickering Sisters: Faith Wescott, headstrong character, no belief in God, secretly a pirate!

Hope Wescott, appears frivolous, stupid, self-centered, no faith in God.

and Grace Wescott, self-governed by biblical rules, not by grace wears hair in a tight pulled-back bun.

Red parrot belonging to Faith, fun character

Admiral Wescott, is an arrogant ass who cares little about his daughters desires and what is truly best for them.

Molly the negro cook who is genuinely concerned and faith-filled.

Lucas mulato 1st mate to Faith, and the family groomsman, who secretly has a crush on Molly

Sir Welhelm Faiths recently disgusting betrothed, unless she can outwit her father

    Lots of fun to read!

I give it 5 out of 5 stars and would recommend it to others.

o:**:. YO HO, YO HO A PIRATES LIFE FOR ME.:**: o

I loved this entire series and read all 3 over a 6 day period in honor of Natl. Talk Like a Pirate Day (-smile). There are exciting adventures upon the high seas in the early 1700s, miraculous deeds, as well as evil presence (things many Christian authors do not bother to address).

Hope Wescott is a spoiled child of a young woman. She has been having an affair with Lord Faulkland, a disgusting pompous user of women. When he tells her he is leaving on a ship, she decides it best to stowaway and surprise him. He sells her out to the captain, who then has her sold at auction!

Coming to her rescue is Nathan Mason, who has handmade 2 ships of his own, is an orphan adopted by a local preacher, and a true man of God.

During their time on a ship, there is an intense hurricane that leads them to be marooned on an island. Many adventures and damsel in distress moments ensue.

Abigail, a young, faith filled daughter of murdered missionaries is also marooned on the island, along with a handful of other characters (some not-so-nice).

Captain Poole, discovers them on the island. He is a pirate with an unusual sense of duty toward God and certain women, such as wives.

I was so happy Hope grew out of most of her childish ways, and came to Christ along with others maturing in Him.

I give it 5 out of 5 stars and would recommend it to others.

THE RAVEN SAINT book#3 Charles Towne Belles Series

    M.L. Tyndall

    o:**:. HIGH SEAS ADVENTURE.:**: o

I loved this entire series and read all 3 over a 6 day period in honor of Natl. Talk Like a Pirate Day (-smile). There are exciting adventures upon the high seas in the early 1700s, miraculous deeds, as well as evil presence (things many Christian authors do not bother to address).

French Captain Rafe Dubois has been offered 500 pounds to help with the Spanish get revenge against British Navy Admiral Wescott. All he has to do is kidnap the Admirals daughter, Grace Wescott.

Grace Wescott is very judgmental, and is constantly second guessing God, trying to figure out why she has been either abandoned by God or chosen by Him for this task to possibly help someone. She has a long road ahead, but in the end, God has used her and has never left or forsaken her.

Assisting aboard ship is Father Alers, who has walked away from his faith after being convinced men are to evil and only pretend Christianity. Although a rough and burly man, he is definitely genteel and kind.

Spyglass the cat, is a favorite character, who seems to be used by God whenever she is most needed.

Many characters are not what they seem, and it will take a lot for both Grace and Rafe to discover their true motives be it good or bad.

I give it 5 out of 5 stars and would recommend it to others.

Included at the end of the book: PHOTO OF SPYGLASS THE CAT

This is the final book of the Charles Towne Belles series and I am happy to be done. To me the series was just boring. This book was one of the better ones. I didn't really like the main character Grace. There were so many times in the book that I just wanted to yell at her because her decisions were frustrating. Another thing I do not like about the book is the ending. It's so predictable and everyone all of a sudden finds God and becomes a believer. The way it's done just seems so forced and unbelievable. It's almost like the author wants to make sure that it's the most perfect, happy ending possible. To me it's just cheesy. I have read hundreds of books and this one is just mediocre.

I would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank you" to M.L. Tyndall and her publisher for sending me a copy of "The Raven Saint" to review for them. I have always been grateful for this generosity, and I am trying to improve at being consistent in taking the time to thank these wonderfully giving individuals in a public forum. I really appreciate your time, effort and expense in making a reviewer copy available to me.

I am barely through chapter two of M.L. Tyndall's third installment in the Charles Towne Belles series, and I can already tell that this will be my favorite book in the series. "The Raven Saint" is the story of Admiral Westcott's third daughter. Grace is the beautiful young woman who loves and serves God with all of her heart. She ministers to the people of Charles Towne through gifts of food, sharing the Gospel and caring for the sick. So why isn't God answering her prayers from her cabin on board the ship Le Champion, where she is being held captive by a mercenary sea captain to be sold to one of her father's sworn enemies in Colombia.

Our leading man in this tale is Capitain Rafe Dubois, a Frenchman who sails for the highest paying purse. This kidnapping begins as a job, but rapidly takes a turn when the scoundrel cannot get his lovely captive (and the aura about her) out of his mind.

It is already very evident that this is going to be an intense and adventurous love story - and not just between Grace and Rafe. God always plays a huge part in these adventures, and I anticipate that He will show up in mysterious and miraculous ways. Thank you, M.L., for another wonderful novel to add to my collection and read over and over again.

The Raven Saint is the third and last book in the Charles Towne Belles series.

Grace is zealous in her face, but extremely judgmental. Rafe appears to be heartless, but given the chance, he is an honorable man. Rafe kidnaps Grace intending to sell her to a man who wants revenge on Grace's father. Just as Rafe and Grace start to love each other, an old love comes back into Rafe's life and tries to separate them.

Grace and Rafe's love is shocking. I didn't expect her to fall in love with Rafe--I hadn't realized the man who kidnapped her was the hero--at first. It's a good book. I've read it three times. One of those times, I read it out loud to my mother. My mother loved it as well.

This is my personal favorite in the series. I was kind of sad when I finished the series, the characters seemed so real.
