Well written Regency
This is book 3 in the Everard series. It is not absolutely necessary to read the first two but it would be helpful in understanding VaughnâÂÂs quest to find his uncleâÂÂs killer.
Mr. Vaughn Everard is in London trying to seek answers from the Marquis of Widmore regarding his uncleâÂÂs death. He tries to avoid Vaughn only to have his daughter, Imogene, try to prove her fatherâÂÂs innocence.
Well written Regency novel filled with suspense and well developed characters. The romance is on the lighter side since the quest for revenge and mystery takes a greater part in the book.
Nice inspirational book, short enough to read in a day or two.

Vaughn Everard is on a quest to find the truth about his beloved uncle's death.
Imogene is the daughter of the man who holds the secret to Vaughn's uncle's death. But the more they look into it the more suspicious Imogene's father looks. Can Imogene and Vaughn find love amidst this mystery?
Regina Scott has penned a riveting regency romance, with plenty of mystery and intrigue!
The was always plenty going on in this third installment in The Everard Legacy, which definitely kept me reading. While you don't have to read the two previous books in the series, reading the other books in teh series built up the anticipation for this book, and definitely made me appreciate it much more.
Overall, this book is full of action and intrigue with plenty of duels and romance. The characters were well developed and interacted well with each other, and developed a solid relationship. There was a kind of full feeling about this book because of the setting, backstory, and many side characters. A great additions to the Everard Legacy!
I received an ebook of this book in return for an honest review. Thanks!

The Everard Legacy Series Book 3
The RakeâÂÂs Redemption by Regina Scott
The Everard Legacy Series Book 3
London 1805
Lady Imogene Devary should be enjoying her Season rather than wondering why her father is acting strangely and what the handsome young poet has to do with it. What else can she do but to get to know the young man and find out why heâÂÂs getting her fatherâÂÂs cold shoulderâ¦.since her father donâÂÂt seem to be around much these days.
Vaughn Everard must find a way to talk to the the Marquess of Widmore. His loyalty to family drives him to find out about the death of his uncle and only the marquess can answer his questions. Maybe the man is playing hide and seek with him but Vaughn has just been handed a key to getting closer to him when he finds out the bold young woman who asked him to dance at the ball is the daughter of that very man.
This story was full of the unexpected. Not letting you know quite who was up to what and not sure what direction it would go until near the end. Excellent romance with plenty of adventure and intrigue as well. You may want to start with Jerome and Richard EverardâÂÂs stories in The RogueâÂÂs Reform and The CaptainâÂÂs Courtship.
