My daughter received this book when you was 4 or 5 years old. She is currently 15 years old and was struggling with some of her friends having boyfriends, etc. We had a good talk about why she wanted a boyfriend and good reasons for not having one. The next morning I went to go wake her up and this book was sitting by her bed. She looked up at me and said, "Mom, I really needed to read that." She is hiding God's word in her heart, the greatest joy for a mother.

This is a great allegory about purity...including being pure of heart. This is a great way to introduce girls to the special gift of purity that God has given them and that we, as parents, are charged to guard until they're old enough. The Life Lessons accompanying book helps emphasize that the "kiss" represents purity and that stems from the heart. The illustrations are also very engaging for older daughters, not just little girls. We love it!

Lovely pictures and words. Purity is so important and with this book you can start a great conversation with a preteen. Love the ending!

By the end of The Princess and the Kiss my children wanted to know where could we find more like it! This book is beautifully illustrated and very creatively written to capture the attention of children. At the end there is an according bible verse which also helps ease into more important age appropriate discussion on purity and waiting upon God's plan for us.

The story captivated my children and they refer to parts of the story in daily life. The guide is a wonderful supplement for discussions with older children. I have recommended it to several parents already. This book is a great value. It was easy to purchase and arrived in a timely fashion.
