Sheri Z5 Stars Out Of 5Appropriate for all agesJanuary 5, 2016Sheri ZQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5My daughter received this book when you was 4 or 5 years old. She is currently 15 years old and was struggling with some of her friends having boyfriends, etc. We had a good talk about why she wanted a boyfriend and good reasons for not having one. The next morning I went to go wake her up and this book was sitting by her bed. She looked up at me and said, "Mom, I really needed to read that." She is hiding God's word in her heart, the greatest joy for a mother.

S Reyneveld5 Stars Out Of 5More Please!October 23, 2014S ReyneveldQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5By the end of The Princess and the Kiss my children wanted to know where could we find more like it! This book is beautifully illustrated and very creatively written to capture the attention of children. At the end there is an according bible verse which also helps ease into more important age appropriate discussion on purity and waiting upon God's plan for us.
Sarah Levasseur5 Stars Out Of 5WONDERFUL book!August 9, 2013Sarah LevasseurQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is a great allegory about purity...including being pure of heart. This is a great way to introduce girls to the special gift of purity that God has given them and that we, as parents, are charged to guard until they're old enough. The Life Lessons accompanying book helps emphasize that the "kiss" represents purity and that stems from the heart. The illustrations are also very engaging for older daughters, not just little girls. We love it!

Tell us a little about yourself. I am the wife of a composer/arranger/worship leader and mother of girls 4 and 7, whom I homeschool. This is my twelfth children's book to date.
What was your motivation behind this project? As I was praying for my girls one night, I asked God how I could begin at their early ages to teach them the importance of their purity, the value of "saving themselves" for marriage. This story was God's answer to that prayer.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope other parents will find in this story the same answer for their children. I pray that this book will be an effective bridge to later discussions on sexuality, purity and marriage.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? As far as kids' books, I enjoy Beatrix Potter and Arnold Lobel. As far as authors of adult works, Jan Karon's testimony inspires me greatly. James Herriot is my all-time favorite author. I also enjoy Russian classics.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: This story is God's work. I was just an available pen.
