I STARTED TO READ IT AT A RAPID PACE, BUT QUICKLY REALIZED I NEEDED TO SLOW WAY DOWN AND ABSORB THIS VITAL BOOK! THE FIRST SENTENCE IN THE INTRO. SAYS, "WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!" OF COURSE, LIKE ALL GREAT CHRISTIAN BOOKS, CHUCK STEERS US RIGHT INTO THE SCRIPTURES! THE QUOTES, STORIES, EXAMPLES, WORD PICTURES, ETC. ARE GIVEN AS ONLY DR. SWINDOLL CAN DO. I'M THINKING THIS IS MOSTLY FOR BELIEVERS WHO WANT TO GROW TO BE MUCH, MUCH MORE LIKE CHRIST... AND EXPERINCE THE CHRISTIAN LIFE JOYFULLY! REMEMBER THE FAMOUS QUOTE FROM JIM ELLIOT... excellent - Charles Swindoll writings are easy to read, root words are defined and a dictionary is usually not needed. This book is a wounderful road map to Christian living.

This book is awesome! Non-Christians, New Christians, or Mature Christians this book is for you!! Chuck is awesome! His books are like no other Christian author I have every read! He is funny, insightful, and very knowledgeable his books are a easy read because he makes you want to just keep turning the page to the next. He makes me laugh out loud and all the while I am learning so much! His picture in the back of the book is a picture of him laughing, enjoying life and wanting you to do the same! I don't care which one you start with...all his books are wonderful! Esther was the first book I ever read of his and it to is a great read. God Bless You!!
