This writing discusses in detail how vitally crucial oral health is to every individual for the overall health of the entire body. The essay shows how oral health issues can affect many systems of the human body and how neglect can complicate pregnancies and even heart disease. It is obvious that a severe lack of knowlegde about good oral health and patient compliance is a major issue in America today with the staggering amount of people neglecting issues from treatable gum disease to tooth loss and oral cancer. This essay also covers what actions can be taken by the general population as well as our public health officials to educate the American population and ensure oral health improvements across the board.
