I've been doing Bible study for decades with Bro. Wuest at my side. He brings out the fuller, more precise thought of the original language in a delightfully clumsy translation that honors the Greek that's lost in our English translations. To his scholarly ethic when he just can't resist adding his theology to the translation he places his dispensational bent in [square bracket], which I suggest you just cross out and let the Word of God speak to you minus the creed. (God has His own Life to convey. Creed is a substitute for that.) Read this along with your chosen version and I believe you'll never be without this book. I treat my books very carefully. After 40 years, I've worn out my first Wuest NT and purchased my second. I've purchased many as gifts for serious 'pearl of great price' seekers to enjoy - and they do.

It is a paperback so won't hold up over the long haul, BUT!!; it clarifies so much better than looking at different translations. Wuest just does the Greek and that has clarified it so much better for me. It can get a little "wordy", but English is a chevy, Greek is a Lexus.

This is a very nice read; one I hope to return to again and again. Would love to see a nicer compact printing with quality paper. The book itself is rather large for my tastes. Love the expansion it gives the material and the clarity. Must read it with a dictionary in a few places to get the full meaning. Wuest did a beautiful job with the translating. The not so proper English takes a little getting used to, but really leaves nothing lacking so much, while being more true to the Greek. Still a very nice read, once you get beyond the different English. Pleased with it, and hope it lasts a good long time. Wish there were an Old Testament like it. I only like to give reviews on something I find really worthwhile.

Got to be my all time favorite. I love to read other translations, one chapter at a time, and then read the same chapter from this one. The insight gained is so powerful. Based on the translations of each Greek word in context it only amplifies the beauty of our Lord's speech and the moment by moment activities during the New Testament. I highly recommend this book!
