I was so excited about this book, I ordered two (one for each of my children) and waited slightly impatiently for them to arrive.

Positive: The books are full of excellent information. Perfect for children and adults alike.

Not so positive: They are fairly flimsy in regard to their binding. I was so nervous about the binding that I insisted that my children never open the book completely to prevent the binding from breaking and pages falling out - however even this strict rule did not stop the inevitable! I am going to take the books apart today and staple them together instead.

I would still recommend this book to anybody and everybody, it is very educational.

The thing with this Primer is that we were so excited that we could get it, because it's a piece of American heritage. The problem is that it's so small, it's hard to deal with. I had planned to use it with my kindergartener, but the only way I can is if I copy the page and blow it up-which I don't even know if I'm allowed to do-it's definitely very interesting and it's definitely a pocket book, it's the size of a flash card.

If only the schools taught from this book today. This is the textbook with which our founding fathers raised their children. There are great lessons to learned here.
