Like the filet mignon of steaks in a Primer
First, this book is Fabulous! Practically, it includes all of the phonograms with examples of words in which they are used. It summarizes the most important basic spelling rules (I even learned something here). Also included: A summary of the most frequently used words in the English language; a simple, yet effective plan for teaching reading, writing, and spelling in conjunction; wonderful--WONDERFUL--godly poetry that teaches truths and lessons while being playful and rythmic; superior vocabulary and sentence construction; fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith with Q&A to reinforce understanding; real-life stories of those who have applied God's truths in trial; prayers for children; a "dialogue between Christ, youth, and the Devil" to encourage salvation; and the plan of salvation. All of this is told with the Bible as the inerrant Word of God, from a true Creation perspective (6 days), and with the "f" instead of "s" fixed throughout. Truly a gem! My hubby's having me buy one for each child to use in learning to read, for copy work, in teaching character and Christian truths. If government schools used this one textbook in earnest, our nation would be transformed in a generation!

This book is a very wonderful book for the children to read and understand. We definitely need more books like this. Biblical principles as well as Bible verses.An excellent book for homeschoolers!!!

I bought this book to go with the "Spell to Write and Read" and "Wise Guide" books and it's wonderful! It has everything you need to know for the English language. If you don't have the other books, it's a great book just to have on hand.
