This book was a favorite of mine and my kids. Yes it's a young child's book, but it was so cute and so much fun that my kids still love reading it now, even tho my oldest is 21. It didn't take long to memorize the words and we always ways took turns reading each line. It started hushed and quiet, since everyone in the story was sleeping, and by the end they were all in giggles.

I first read this book to my son when he was around two years old. I kept reading it until he was old enough to read it himself. He and I both loved the book. It was very comforting when he was sick or when it was cold or rainy outside. It made us both feel warm and cozy. My son is 32 years-old now, and we still text lines from this book to each other, especially when his daughter is taking a nap or if I notice all three of my cats are lying close together fast asleep. He has been reading The Napping House to his daughter since she was about a year old. She is 3 now. My son Van and I both highly recommend this book.

What a useless book. Although smaller kids may learn something about order from the narration, I'd never read this to my child.
