What would you die for?
That's the question suddenly thrust upon a small band of women and children in Bosnia at the close of World War II. When a group of bitter soldiers stumble upon their peaceful village, they suddenly face an insidious evil...and the ultimate test.
It is then, in the midst of chaos and pain that the Martyr's Song is first heard. It is then that the window into heaven first opens. It is then that love and beauty are shown in breathtaking reality.
You have in your hands the story and the song that changed...everything.

Although it is short, the power behind his words brought me to tears at one point. It is a poignant portrayal of love...worth the few hours it will take to read it! This is one book I won't forget.
Jeremiah2 Stars Out Of 5May 20, 2010JeremiahHaving first read When Heaven Weeps, I was very disappointed in The Martyr's Song. I was expecting a new story that tied in with the original story like the others, but it was 90% word for word from When Heaven Weeps. It's rare for me to not thoroughly love a Ted Dekker novel, but this one really let me down. I gave it 2 stars because if I hadn't first read When Heaven Weeps, I think I would have enjoy this one more. This is just my opinion.
Debby F.4 Stars Out Of 5March 20, 2009Debby F.This book was very good, but not as good as the rest of the series which I'd read first. If you plan on reading When Heaven Weeps," then there is no need to read this book too. Besides a small sub-plot, it is word for word taken out of "When Heaven Weeps."
Sarah Halliburton5 Stars Out Of 5February 20, 2009Sarah HalliburtonThis was the most moving book I have ever read. I enjoyed it so much I passed to a friend who passed it to a friend who passed it to a friend. I told them to keep passing it on and I would buy myself a new copy. I hope more people will buy it and pass it on.
Sue5 Stars Out Of 5April 5, 2008SueThis book is powerful and will likely move the reader to tears. It tackles the truth of what true beauty is, as well as true death. I recommend every one to read this book- especially girls who are struggling with the issue of non-exceptance. You won't leave reading this book unchanged and unaffected.
