Christ died so the church can live but we can get so stuck in the mud. John Stott, even at his advanced age continues to challenge us to change, to grow, to be fresh. A very worthwhile book that shows great respect for the church but at the same time encourages her to be relevant.

This is a must read for any pastor who serves in the ministry. Stott's insight and convictions are a challenge and a call to seek the Spirit of God in awakening any and all churches who desire to be what God has called His Church to be.

Long time Anglican pastor, evangelist, and worldwide renowned Bible teacher and expositor, John Stott has given his substantial writing career a real tour de force with this poignant and deceptively small book. There is a lot of substance here for thought and for use in the service of aiding the local church being all that it is called to be by the Lord Jesus.

Stott offers very practical advise. Yet he is as much as a theologian as N.T. Wright. Just an inspiration for the CHURCH!

I've never been disappointed in John Stott, and so this book is a welcome addition to my shelf. His wisdom is so down to earth.
