Series: Reluctant Demon Diaries
Ancient language expert Samantha Yale returns to translate a new batch of scrolls written by the fallen angel from Lucifer’s Flood.
Samantha Yale has taken on a daunting translation project. A set of scrolls, delivered by a man she knows nothing about, tells a fascinating and frightening tale of what went on behind the scenes of biblical history. What is even more incredible is who is telling the tale--a fallen angel who immediately regretted his decision to side with Lucifer.
In book three of The Reluctant Demon Diaries series, we find that the mysterious Wonk Eman has disappeared. Fearing the remaining scrolls may be lost forever, Samantha is determined to find him. Her search leads her an old church where she finds Wonk and convinces him that he must overcome his fear and allow her to examine the remaining scrolls.
This new volume of writings begins with the time of the judges over Israel as the nameless angel continues to watch and report to Satan on the progress of humanity as God leads them forward through the reign of King David.

Tell us a little about yourself. I spent 25 years in television as President & General Manager of network affiliates in Texas, Florida and Minnesota. In 1991, I led an investment group to acquire an independent station in St. Paul, MN for 3.2 million, which I managed until we sold it in 1998 for 52.5 million net to the shareholders. From 1999 until 2007, I was the President of the Lakeland Foundation. I am presently the President of the RiosBrook Foundation and an ordained pastor/teacher at Covenant Centre International in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
What was your motivation behind this project? I had been praying for quite some time about my frustration with with how believers struggle with the same maladies of illness, lack, broken relationships, and despair as those who have no hope in God. I preached a message that prayer changes things, yet I didn't see it happening in the lives of people who were examples of faithfulness and holiness. One day I said to God, "Unless You can show me some great eternal purpose in all I see, I don't think I can continue to tell people that You make a difference in the lives of those who serve You and those who don't." Shortly after that, God gave me an incredible dream of eternity - but it was eternity backwards in time. The message of the dream was "you cannot understand the end until you understand the beginning." I didn't know where to start to write what I saw in the dream. Then it came to me to write the story from the point of view of an angel who was cast out of Heaven by mistake. That's how the series began.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? The source of evil in this world is Satan not God. From the beginning, God's plan is that the Earth is the battlefield for for the universe. The war will be won or lost through human beings who will obey what God has created them and called them to do. I have tried to make the Biblical characters real and believable, asking the same questions all Christians want to ask but are afraid to do so for fear of appearing faithless or doubting. The person I had in mind while writing is one who seeks God, does not believe the Bible is true, but desperately wishes he/she did. These books are true to the story, but from a point of view that makes the Bible entirely believable.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? God's relentless pursuit of and willingness to forgive humans for grievous failure is too big for the narrow lens through which we view Him.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Greg Boyd ("God at War" "Satan and the Problem of Evil") Dr. Peter Wagner, C.S. Lewis, Dr. Chuck Pierce, Derek Prince
