Philip Brooks lectures are as applicable today as they were when he presented them. Great book for Pastors, Ministers and those seeking God's call to ministry.

Warren Wiersbe gives the intro to this book, and its design. The book is basically a series of lectures to Brooks' students that have been compiled into one work. I enjoyed his timeless truths that were presented in the lectures. He deals with the Idea of the Sermon, The Value of a Human Soul, and The Making of a Sermon, just to name a few. All in all, it's a good book ... written from the mind and heart of a legendary preacher.
