Journals are exactly what this book is about. Though I've only gotten through about 1/3 of the book, its inspiring and great for an evening read. They are short and informative reads about his devotions or livings of that day. From my standpoint as a guy, I think it's truly wonderful book and certainly the most unique book I have outside of the Bible. I feel as if someone is examining and wrestling with the same thoughts that I have (spiritually, as a man, life, etc). Its unlike any other book because instead of telling a message, its like you can get right along side of him mentally and share thoughts. Though I never knew or met Jim, and as weird as it sounds, this book lets me think that I knew him personally.
