I cannot believe I paid $65 for a curriculum that suggests playing follow the leader and doing sentence prayers and simple ideas like that. Anyone who has ever been to Sunday School knows those activities. I expected to get new ideas. I expected that the materials which I could download would be nice activity sheets that I could use with my classes, not just a copy of the memory verse and a picture of the story. Free ideas on the internet are so much better. I just hope I can get my money back.
We have used this curriculum for our Junior Church program this past year. I love this Bible for kids and they have enjoyed the videos and game suggestions. Those components I highly recommend. However, you have to print out all the curriculum for yourself. This took me about 4-5 hours! I can only imagine how much extra this cost our church to do in color. I also originally thought I could email the lessons to the volunteer teachers each week, but the files are much too large to email. That was a big disappointment. For $75, I feel the material should have been printed for us. Publishers can do this far cheaper than churches can. In addition, many of our students were over the age of 7 and found the handouts a bit juvenile. I often had to find other puzzles/mazes to keep their interest. I would suggest the handouts are more appropriate for students 7 and younger, but they will need to be able to write some answers.
