It is so wonderful that a true story of someone so led by the Lord can be in the movie format. We had this on VHS and I just upgraded to the DVD.

This movie was good, my girls liked watching it over and over. However it does differ dramatically from the book. It would be good to read the book before watching the movie.

This movie is a wonderful homeschool dvd library addition. It is about the life of British Missionary Gladys Aylward who goes to tell the good news of Jesus to the Chinese people and ends up trekking across the mountains with 100 children during the Japanese invasion. While the movie and the story has mild differences, the story line is mostly in tact...a wonderful family film in my opinion.
