Annah hasn't spoken a word since she witnessed her father's murder 15 years ago. Seeking escape from her harsh existence and cruel brother, she weaves a veil to hide beneath. Then a gentle young man who trusts in the Most High penetrates her silent world. Will her newfound faith and happiness with Shem, son of Noah, be enough to face the chaos to come? 384 pages, softcover from Moody.
Marginalized by society and mistreated by her own family, Annah befriends a young man she's never seen before. Shem is captivated by Annah's courage, and he risks everything to help her gain her freedom. Trusting in the Most High, Annah marries Shem and joins her strange new family in their solitary faith that will ultimately separate them from an ancient world of amazing beauty and appalling violence--a world fast approaching the unimaginable catastrophe of the Great Flood. Out of this chaos, only eight people will survive. Their world is our world. Their future is our own.

Tell us a little about yourself. Book worm. History nut. Only girl. I've resigned myself to being the shortest member of my family. And I'm a daydreamer.
What was your motivation behind this project? My husband and I were studying the creation vs. evolution debate with our sons, and I became fascinated with our studies of the Great Flood. The science behind our faith is fascinating! I also wanted to portray the origin of myths and god/goddess worship.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? A return to Genesis! I want readers to feel that they've lived through these events, and that they've experienced the beginning of the world and civilization as we know it today. And, most important, to realize that the Lord has a plan for us, his children. He loves us passionately.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My parents, who provided me with my first books, and the Bible. Otherwise, I can't pick favorites among people or my books--they are all wonderful.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I appreciate you! Thanks for sending all those notes. :)
